Thanks, but all the hard work was done by Rawn - not me. All I did was load the character in my default lighting/environment, load one of the poses they included, and run the script to render it. I do wish I had taken 2 more seconds to adjust his neck/head/eyes to make him look at the camera, though. Oh well, I see many more renders of him in my future . . .
Off to play with the 4 other products I picked up in the same order (Wither, Cyclops, Ogora, and Clown Clan 2). What a great way to start the new year!

Great render! What script did you use to get the pencil drawing effect?
I'll be honest, when I first saw Nosferatu, he really freaked me out. But after seeing these renders, I've changed my mind (espcially with the b&w ones).
I really do love the sketch render. (Sorry for going at little off-topic), but what would you use to achieve that effect? (That's if it is avaliable in the store). Thanks :)
It's a set of tools/scripts that I've been working on for years decades.
I agree (don't want to get too off topic here). I started a thread on NPR in the Art Studio last year, but a lot has changed since then. It's getting late here, and I'm beat. Rather than going necro on that one, I'll start a new thread tomorrow with another image of Nosferatu.
- Greg
If you do start a new thread about that, please share a link...i am always looking for good ways to render as a sketch.
For those that are interested, I did end up starting a new NPR thread over in the Art Studio, and kicked things off with another render of Nosferatu:
Question: How complete is the morph. By which I mean; Is it a dial, or an old fashioned all or nothing apply? Is there a separate head dial and a body dial? How about being able to dial in only the teeth. Or not dial in the teeth. Or dial in the hands.
Because if some of the separate areas can be dialed this is a *really* nice early introduction of a morph which could be used in modification until Zev0 releases an aging package.
One dial for the head and body HD (plus LD only option but that doesn't do the morphs justice)
One dial for the teeth. At present the teeth are applied with the main morph and can't be removed with the tooth dial but Raw Art mentions above that this may be fixed.
In the middle of creating a scene setup for some shadow play for another project, so I whipped up this quick little test. Nosferatu respectfully requests that we all stay quiet, so as not to ruin his surprise ;)
- Greg
Also, I'd just like to echo what others have already said about how fun using this character has been!
I have software that will indeed do it too Poser being the obvious one but Carrara with various plugins and iClone too and animated but sadly Nosi HD is limited to DAZ studio
I did buy him though and hope to use him in some ways.
Thanks Algovincian .... I didn't think anyone would notice following right after your fantastic black and white sketch render. I really love the big cast shadows.
Ah. Less than optimal, but still a fine morph. Well, I already bought, downloaded and installed, so I'll try to keep aware of whether there's been an update to make the teeth a bit more optimal. Particularly since I'm assuming that there will be an G3 version of the Toother's package eventually.
ETA: Huh. Don't know why this didn't post earlier.
If i could request one more dial, it would be to dial out the creepy fingernails because he makes for a cool skinny and/or old dude. (I'm not really into vampires, but i saw him as a good dial to amp up the oldster.)
I can shorten fingernails, but it doesn't make the pokey nails go away. The ears and the teeth, i was able to deal with using dials in my inventory of dials.
Yeah, ditto. I've struggled a lot with trying to render 'like a drawing.' I've mostly abandoned it -- I can get good results, but I find that for my primary uses I prefer to explore photorealism.
Yes several posts are between mine too which means my comment does not quite make sense it was in reply to Will actually trying to render like a drawing

With the teeth, all you have to do is click on the lock, and unlock them. Then they should dial down without doing anything to the morph.
They are simply erc'd to the main morph, so that it is easy for the people who want to use the full character to dial him up. This is normal for character design. So for people who want to customize, and use the character differently than the original design, they just have to unlock it.
(I dont have my computer yet....I just understand your issue better with the comments made)

Otherwise, yet another fine figure.

I like this guy...
Does he come with the outfits in the promos?
No...
+1 Expressions and details are great well done to RawArt on this one
Ooh, they make such a lovely couple!
click to play
Well, I've had him for 10 days now so thought I really ought to take him for a test drive!
