Genesis 9 missaligned fingers fix

Hey hey folkes,

I figured I'd share this here since I had a hell of a time figuring this out.

So, if you're having issues with the fingers (Mainly the thumb and pinkie) sticking out or rolling in the wrong direction when setting up the avatar for your Gen9 character. Try going back into Daz Studio and renaming the fingers "rCarpal1", "rCarpal2" and so on (And of course lCarpal1 on the left hand), however dont rename the thumbs, I dont know if that can mess anything up, but I havent had any issues keeping the name as "r_thumb1/l_thumb1".
You dont have rename the children under each finger however. Only the first joint in the finger chain. (I also disable rotation limits when exporting).

Hope this saves someone the hours of trial and error I had to do over the last few weeks.

*EDIT*
Another tip; Rename each and every bone with the name "hip" to "Hips", that should stop Unity from complaining when using Mixamo animations, also keeping the names consistent seems to allow the tool to merge all the skeletons so you dont have 10 different version of the same skeleton due to eyebrows/eyes/etc each having their own skeleton.

    There is a thread on this.  It's just that the bones aren't assigned corretly, obviously renaming helps Unity figure it out :)

    I added a file that you can use to remap the bones if you don't want to rename them...

    @aweswan had trouble with it but it works fine for me.

    Really wish the forum was better, because I have been trying to fix this for ages until I figured it out myself, even Googled for hours and never found the post you're refering to.

    For anyone who has this issue in the future;
    You can fix the fingers in 2 ways.
    1. Rename them to use the same names as Gen8. (Its a pain in the ass to do so, but it works).
    2. When setting up the Avatar in Unity do the following:
    2.1 Reset pose
    2.2 Click the Left/Right hand buttons so you can map the hand bones.
    2.3 Change the bones so they dont start from the metacarpal bone. That is what messes the hand up. So, for example, instead of the middle finger starting from midmetacarpal and ends on mid2. Have it start on mid1 and end on mid3. Once this has been done to all the fingers go down to "Pose" again and click "Enforce T-pose".

    The fingers should now be fixed
