Sizing text on a sign?

I'm trying to replace some text on a daz prop sign with a custom graphic. I just go into surfaces, find the existing graphic, then browse to the one I created. The trouble is my sign doesn't exactly fit the prop sign. Is there a way to scale new materials after they are attached to a prop?

    I would think it would be easier to scale in an image editing program.

    But inside Daz Studio you can change tiling and offset. (tiling < 1 will scale it up). If changed in the surface setting it will affect all images in the surface. If you just want to change one image, you can click on the image and choose image editor (?) and then set tiling for that one individual.

    Thanks so much. The vertical and horizontal tiles in the surfaces pane...and the offset...did the trick. I could scale the text vertically and horizontally and center it in the sign.
