Can Genesis 3 clothing be retro-fitted to Genesis 2 figures?

There's a couple products in the store that give Genesis 2 the ability to autofit Genesis 3 stuff.

I think G3 can autofit G2 from the same gender but there's also

You can use autofit to convert clothes between genesis 2 and genesis 3.

By default G3F includes a G2F clone, and G3M a G2M clone.

 

If you want to go from Genesis 3 back to Genesis 2 you'll need those:

I've picked up the G3F to G2F clone listed above, but is there one available for converting G3F to G1F? I have some G1F-based characters that I just couldn't properly recreate using G2F, plus I need to find the G2F-to-G1F clones as well. There's just way too much stuff in the store to spend hours wading thru, because I always find other stuff that's tempting (yup, I'm definitely one of the DAZ-addicts ).

Yes, even you can use G3 clothes on Genesis 1, just when autofit asks don't select nothing in original character for what clothe was intended for.

If you have generation X just copy a G2F clone to Genesis then assign that clone as a clone, rather than a morph in the property hierarchy editor

There's no clones available to go from Genesis 3 to Genesis, but you can do it in 2 steps: first autofit from Genesis 3 to Genesis 2, save the converted clothes, and then convert the G2 version back to G1.

Between all the products listed in this thread, pretty much anything can be converted to any of the genesis figures, (Though as usual some conversions work better than others)
