If I get a product that is NOT  compatible with daz 4.2 can I down load it with dim and use it in blender?

The current version of DS is 4.23, is that what you meant? What sort of products are you referring to, and what are they compatible with? Most products Daz sells are in DS formats, and do not include files that can be imported into other programs without first exporting them from DS.

    Moved to Blender Discussion.

The Bridge is not an importer for Blender, it requires opening the file in DS and then sending it across to Blender. Diffeomorphic is the importer that doesn't need to open in DS first.

Diffeo also requires the scene file to be opened in DS frist so as to export a DBZ file... before import the scene into Blender.

I don't quite understand your question.... so, what is the product that is NOT compatible with Daz 4.22 / 4.23 ?

Would that perhaps be older content that only has 3Delight materials?

That is not correct. The preferred workflow is to export the dbz, so to bake the daz morphs. But it is also possible to load a figure from the daz library without opening daz studio, using the "morphed fitting" option. Personally I never did it but I know of people who work this way.

I also always use DBZ...  but it's good to know the alternatives. I'll give it a try to see what these options can do. Thanks !

Yeah I should have started with that: The Central District Subway | Daz 3D

    Compatible Software:

Poser, Daz to Maya Bridge, Daz to Blender Bridge, Daz to C4D Bridge, Daz to 3ds Max Bridge

    File Formats:

Blender, Unreal, 3ds Max, Maya, Cinema 4d

Never understand why daz has things for sale that dpo not work with their software, or at least put up a BIG disclaimer so I don't have to deal with returns.
