2025 Alpha

Is anyone able to find this in DIM yet? Maybe I'm just being impatient haha. The blog indicates that it's available now in the PB channel but I don't see anything new.  I've had a 5090 since Jan 31 and that box, also equipped with a 14900KF - both liquid cooled - renders ten times slower than backup machine with 4070ti and ryzen 9, both air cooled crying I am chomping at the bit. The optimizations sound positively dreamy - I'll be damned if they didn't tackle everything I thought was a nuisance compared to other comparable programs - or at least apps in the same arena.

Make sure your DIM is up to date, as well.

I've got the latest DIM version (1.4.1.87), and I've ticked all relevant filters (public channel, daz studio 2025) and I still can't see anything.

Same. All settings as per the post above. DIM up to date, Studio 2025 no where to be seen.

Perhaps we have to "buy" it like the Beta version?

Yup all excited over nothing. sad

  • This question is kinda moot as I can't find it to download either, but when (if) I can download it, will it overwrite Daz 4.23 or create it's own directories and folders?

If it is anything like past beta builds it will more than likely be a separate install.

We can reasonably expect even the general release of 2025 to be separate from 4.X.

Be a case of wait and see I suppose, will be interesting on PA plugin updates for it. Now the wait for it to showup in DiM. What will be interesting is what GPU driver version will be needed, what with the the latest version and the version prior giving some folks issues.

Yes it should install separately for DS4.x general release and beta, like DS4 was a separate install from DS3.

I"m adding my voice to the 'Where's DAZ Studio 2025'?  I have everything set up correctly with latest version of DIM and still don't see anywhere to download.

The persons who can look into this won't be on till business hours for DAZ. It's an odd issue as some of us do have it and have downloaded from DIM.

Is there a way to get a manual download and manual install?

I try to keep multiple versions of DS for testing purposes and find the only way is to do a manual install, and DIM is something I try to keep well away from due to the number of freebies I use/create and my wish to maintain my own library organisation.

    Regards,

    Richard

Also can't see it, but given the blog post about it contains a lot of [insert link here] stuff I'm wondering whether it was published too early and has subsequently been removed until it's actually ready.

Probably not for now as betas are only available via DIM

I am also missing the 2025 Alpha Daz Studio. After skimming (cat also wants attention) the thread https://www.daz3d.com/blog/daz-studio-2025-alpha-release I am really interested to download and try this out on my MacMini M4. But yeah, DIM has nada for it. Is there a SKU we can key in to try to download that way? Also, I don't see any mention of it on the store's Daz Studio promo pages.

But if what I have read is solid, I really want to thank the programmers and their hard work to bring this to us.

Same for me too, I see no entry. DIM version is 1.4.1.87 (64bit) and filter is set to Daz Studio 2025 (6.x) and Public Build.

haha three weeks of vile trickery. groundhogs day in hell

I think it's reasonable to believe they're still in the process of launching. At the time I posted the OP, I did not have the category in DIM for the 2025 alpha version. I'm still in the majority, I believe anyways, in that I have up to date DIM and everything, I see the category, but no amount of tick this uncheck that general fudgery will let me see it to download it. Waited this long already ohwell. Time to fill a tall glass with Fruity Pebbles and milk and drift on CarX; my cat cheering and spazzing out about the tire screeching noises. Ahh, let the day begin
