Saving out a prop correctly?

Saving out a prop correctly?

Found this nice side table with drawers on a freebie site.  It came only in FBX format so brought it into DAZ Studio to look it over.  I liked it but needed allot of work to make it into a working prop.  I had to redo all the UV Maps as the textures were a mess, now they look correct.  Then I had to UV Map the drawers, also fixed and looks nice.  Then importing all three and setting up the open/close bits and applied textures.  Then to save it out.... well the only thing that's saving out is the main piece, none of the drawers are going along for the ride.  So need  to know how to properly save out a prop that's got working parts.

Thanks so much

It sounds as if the drawers are seperate meshes, i.e different object, just parented.

Then I only know of to save it as a set.

Try the AScene Asset option, though ideally you would save each part separately and then just save a Scene Subset for the assembly.

Yes, the set up is all Obj's working together.  I was thinking of saving as a Scene Subset but I thought there was a way to save it as a prop.  I know most props are static but I know of props that have working parts too.  I guess I could go really old school and save it out as a CR2, which SHOULD work

Why not just turn it into a figure? Export as OBJ with each part having a unique name, import into Figure Setup and continue as with any stand-alone figure.

I just saved it as a scene subset and it loads in a mili second.  I'm using int only for for personal usage and will need this here and there.  Thanks!
