PA asking what you'd like to see more/less or new of....

in The Commons
Hi All
I tend to create things I personally like and sell them in the store , But I want to know what products you are all wanting to see more of. Or less of. Or something entrirely new that hasn't been tapped into the marketplace yet.
I'm open to all suggestions and genres and would love to hear your thoughts. Feel free to post here or message me and 'll see what I can do to accommodate you, the marketplace.
Cheers

I have a small list of items I and some friends would like to see on my deviantArt page, but for starters, I'd like to see a nice veil for G2F or G3F and a new morphing book where the pages can turn and easily be retextured.
Would still like to see more attractive mature figures. A Helen Mirren-type.

I'd like to see several character textures sold as a single product without a figure. We can buy multiple shapes and morphs without textures for characters (dial-a-babe etc), so it would be nice if we could do the reverse and buy multiple textures in a single product sometimes without having to buy all the other stuff too. I like to dial up my own characters from the morphs and shapes I've collected and so it's usually only the texture that interests me when a new figure is released. Consequently it's got to be something really exceptional to make me want to pay for all the other work the PA has put into the product without leaving it until it goes on sale at some future date.
...would love to see Cyber implants for G2/G3 (both genders). Eyes, ears, plug jacks, chip slot jacks, partial and full limbs (would be cool the have the "in the thigh" holster the original Robocop had), fibreoptic connections, etc.
Also cyber world styled clothes as well as armour that really cover and protect the body (no 'Kevlar™ bikinis").
Thanks for the feedback so far.
I don't want to double post, I answered you over in my Art Studio thread in this post. Appreciate you asking for input, very nice of you!
I have many of your fantasy ball gowns for V4 and I'd love to see some new ones for G3F. The more elaborate and over-the-top the better. Ideally, with seperate skirts and tops to make kit bashing easier.
There are a huge number of ball gowns out there for V4 but rather fewer for V5, V6 and almost none for V7. This suggests to me that there is a market for these products.
Cheers,
Alex.
Hey! I am aware I am kinda wrong here since you are asking for customer feedback.
Just wanted to say that I always thought you seem to have a really good feeling in your product choice, to the point where I actively noticed it.
Doing products you personally like can be a good strategy imo, if it means "like within Daz Studio".
Thanks Flipmode! Made me feel awesome after I read that. I kinda try and diversify what I make but not sure if peeps are liking it or not.
I would really appreciate realistic pants for G3 males. Pants that allow the character to have anatomical elements underneath without poking through. A simple jeans would do. Or cargo pants with a long/short morph?
Stuff I'd like to see more of:
1.Body hair for Genesis 3 male
2. poses for men doing things other than flexing and standing.
3. mens hair particularly practical short styles, no hairsprayed fantastic hair.
4. pants which are not painted on with pockets zippers and waistband
5. mens shirts with realistic collars
6. sexy men's clothing (don't think there is any in the store)
7. alien skins and morphs that look different than just a human skin with diffuse added,
8. tux for Genesis 3 male with proper fitting coat (no skin tight), and realistic tie/bowtie with movement morphs.
9 skin overlays for blemish and freckles and scars
10. scifi everyday clothing that doesn't look Buck Rogers or sexy
11. superhero cape with different styles so it could be sci-fi, fantasy, whatever
12. cybernetic parts and prosthetic limbs
13. modern bandages and casts
14. food with eating poses
15. clothing which isn't skin tight,
16. loose fitting mlitary clothing (existing sets hug the pecs and biceps in unrealistic ways). Sets should have rank badges and places for namtags for enlists and officers.
17. Military dress uniforms with the same options above.
18. Hunky dudes who look mature. (Sorry Kenji)
19. Cat and Dog... Also cat and dog would be awesome and cybernetic pets
20. sexy guy aliens would be nice too.
21. Contemporay or futuristic Military obstacle course
21. Contemporary or futuristic military mess.
22. scifi kitchen
23. scifi bathroom.
24. urinal
25. could really use a futuristic scifi club,
26. Farm pumpkin patch
27. Apple farm/harvest time
28. Christmas tree farm
29. British pub.
30. A rocky cave opening in the ground where characters could crawl or scale out of. With poses.
31. A Starship crew uniform.
Stuff id like to see less of? I won't be popular for saying it but I feel saturated with female content, clothing and sexy wear. I don't buy it or look at it any longer because it looks quite similar.
For any kind of clothing items I wish few morphs or drapes to make them more versatile e.g. in storytelling (but not only there), especially a few but good undress ones as these are rare to find. Not talking about the usual open pants and expose breasts, but more something like pants open, half (on knees), almost full (on feet) or full undressed (on floor). Similar for shirts. No need for full "from .. to" morphs (not doing animations) nor dozens of morphs, but maybe few basic drapes to have possibility to show someone undressing e.g. when going to bed or changing from comfort clothing to working suit etc.
And thanks for asking and maybe taking suggestions !
It's funny that you are asking, since your catalog of items in the MP is pretty diverse already. I would like to see more attention to detail, wrinkles, seams, textures, fitting, normal maps, etc. There isn't much in the way of outfits I need and the ones I do are very specific.
A realistic detailed pair of LEVIS jeans for G3 figures, skinny, regular and loose fit.
I am with Serene on the military dress uniform and having it be detailed and fit realistically.
I am always looking for well done Red Sonja type warrior outfits. The recent Blood Red outfit for Rune was a dissapointment due to the poor quality and distorted mesh.
Tactical vests and body armor, both military and police for both G3 figures. The biggest issue with these would be the fit especially over existing clothing, so shirts would probably have to be modeled with them for a realistic fit, both dress shirts for police/detectives and tshirts/BDUs for military.
I am always looking for well done and unique female skippy outfits. Your racy bodysuit and provoker outfits are favs of mine and your nadia dress is at the top of my wishlist. As log as it's detailed and creative, I'll keep buying them.
Long hair that we can actually move around to lay correctly on the body of clothing, such as laying correctly around the breasts and shoulders/arms.
Your lastest resort pool looks great and is on my buy list, so more outdoor environments are welcome also.
Keep up the great work and thanks for asking for ideas and suggestions
ooo yes.
Big chunky cool rings for G3Female that fit on ANY finger. Facial piercings for G3F.
Teenage girl's bedroom.
Bedsit/studio - ah not sure what they are called around the world....one big room with bed and lounge and dining and small kitchenette and small bathroom?
Ballroom gown (non-skimpy) for G3F
Also, those cool whacky boots you did in that Bad Ballerina outfit? Shoes like that :D I know V4 had quite a few of them, but I've only seen the bad ballerina ones and something similar by someone else for G3F. Would love a smaller shoe pair.
edit: handbag for G3F!!! complete with good hand/shoulder poses, and morphs on the handbag for the handles to be down or up, opened handbag, etc.
I don't care if I never see high heels ever again; even then it may be too soon. :)
Depth to clothes, very often when looking at certain angles, the cloth is obviously 2d and not 3d. This is annoying and I return the item if I've purchased (as opposed to seeing it in promos). Also in relation to clothes, a good selection of material zones.
I liked the idea of the skins only, of course, promo images that didn't cover the textures would also be awesome. I actually didn't bother with a recent figure (might have been FWSA, but I could be mis-remembering) as the figure's texture was too covered.
Items to help make a room untidy.
- scattered clothes.
- scattered bed clothes
- clean floors/carpet are easy; what is tough to do is a used look; scattering items on a sparkling clean floor doesn't look right; if it's untidy (not quite unkempt) then the carpet wont just have been vacuumed.
I second what Kyoto Kid and Serene Night said, More practical sci-fi/cyberpunk stuff and less of the inpractical overly sexy stuff
Thanks for the rugby uniforms and the more traditional dresses and other clothing. :-)
I sometimes thicken clothes once they're posed, by exporting figure & clothing to MODO, thickening the fabrics, and then importing the thickened mesh back in and making the original clothing invisible. If you parent the imports to the figures you can move the figures around, obviously, but if you adjust the figures' poses, you have to repeat the export/thicken/import step.
I agree that "thick" clothing would be nice, but I suspect that working with anything but single-sided polygons must be fiendishly difficult for the riggable/morphable parts of clothing.
While we're wishing, there's a boy's / young men's haircut that was popular a few years back that I'd love to have a kit for. It's kind of like the attached pic, but the floppy part tended to be more of a straight bowl cut, evenly long and parted in the middle, and the side cropping was a little more extreme.
Are you trying to stick with items similar to what you are currently doing? It looks like the majority of your catalog is clothing, and you also have architecture.
While I am always on the look out for any kind of item that would be useful even if I have similar ones, I find that I have plenty of clothing at this point (plus I'm limiting myself to older characters) and a wide variety of architecture. Lately I've been eyeballing the much harder to find items of which I have a few but really could use a lot more. In no particular order, things such as special effects that aren't just 2D, objects with effects built in (Some examples of things I have like this are the glass pane that can be shattered, the roof shingles that can be swirled into the air from wind, the brick wall that can be curved, liquids pouring/floating, the snow bank with a footprint trail, the snowstorm, the cloud of bugs/petals/leaves, the fire rain and floaty bits of burnt papers, etc. )
The world also badly needs a super high definition 3D waterfall prop, and also a crashing wave with spray prop. There are some 2D options, and some 3D ones that would be ok for backgrounds or certain specific cases, but nothing that screams "photo!" that I can render huge and up close with figures or objects jammed directly in the middle of thousands upon thousands of water drops interacting with it. But that would be an enourmous undertaking, and perhaps far off from the types of products you are interested in.
Plus since my budged is all fubared it would be best to get second opinions from others rather than depending on this post as the appropriate direction to consider in case I can't afford my own suggestions. :-)
And while we are at it I would like to a 'used' look for a lot of thing not just floors. Not worn out but not showroom new either -- Just like it has been and is still being used.
would like
man fey wear
80's glam
less spikey, possible to make softer looking fantasy outfits for the men?
i'm always on the lookout for space pirate gear.
show off that illiac furrow
tee hee 24th century fashion

I have the Diana and Jones Outfit but what I really need is an Indiana Jones style leather jacket to go with it and fit over other clothes as well for versitility. New and beat-up textures. Needs lots and lots of movement morphs so the front can go swinging off the the side in an action scene, or hang loose on naked guy in another scene ;-) Would be nice if it didn't distort autofitting to other generations too (eg G2M to G3M). Aside from that I am with Serene Night, bohlien, bad4u, FSMCDesigns on the men's clothes; realism, fit and details. I rarely buy woman's clothes.
I've always liked the skant. It frequently suprises me how often people think the future fashion will be as restrictive gender-wise as modern fashion is. People wore tunics for centuries and considered them masculine, and yet there was so much surprise when that showed up on star trek and utter dismay too. Also, to assume alien and otherwolrd fashion will follow our style is really restictive. I like the skant because it shows in the future people aren't as inhibited and different cultures and customs are alive and well. I applaud Star Trek for broaching that, even if there was a lot of irritation amongs some viewers.
i think, lasted for only the first season >.<
guess the hard part was men relearning how to sit, ... unless they want us looking, tee hee
Star Trek audiences can be pretty conservative. But the skant is actually really pretty conservative compared to what ladies wore in Tos and longer too. So my feeling is what is good for the goose is good for the gander. The easiest solution is to wear a nice pair of shorts underneath. Problem solved. I think Picard wore one once and if I recall riker wore one in that angel one episode.
Kirk's nephew also had an interesting outfit in the fan made episode on you tube
