I'm going to be all noble and say I didn't buy anything.
But also my bank account was emptied by the end of the Christmas sale >.>

I'm not actually sure if I was noble or just a chump for not buying anything. I do wonder how a store glitch like this is handled between DAZ and the PAs.
I saw it too, but the prices didn't stick after putting them in the cart. Oh well... Guess someone at DazHQ got hammered and wanted to really ring in the new year. HA!

BTW, finally got a PC membership. However, the site was acting weird most of yesterday. Some items would show up higher than the sale price, later they'd show up right or even less. I never knew what price I was going to get.
Once things settled down, I worked out the sales and got 13 items (two freebies) for $3.15 with December's PC coupons.
The prices were good in my cart, $14 for each Pro Bundle, and lots of other stuff at 90%, and I had enough store credit to cover it, since I've bought a couple of gift cards lately with money from an extra job. But I forced myself to take everything out of my cart and replaced them with a few smaller items to satisfy the mad shopping urge. I got the Kenji base character, the Water Spirit Warrior and Ice Warrior outfits, and the Alembic exporter, which is marked down pretty often anyway... I also got the PC membership at $11. I'd have to go back and look, but I got a few other things at 70%.
Then I gritted my teeth and started deleting stuff from my wishlist so I couldn't see it and won't see it if this happens again. Man, did I want all those Pro bundles! So much stuff on my wishlist was 90% and the prices were working. So hard not to buy everything! On one hand, I wanted to go for it, on the other, I feel bad about the items I did buy. But if this were a brick-and-mortar store, they would stand by marked prices, although I do go back if they've missed a charge for an item, which is different than incorrect marked prices, imo. I may return a RawArt character that was truly mispriced, though, and buy it at the correct price and am debating a couple of other items.
There are many many glitches in the store that work against us - lots of problems with all those sales over xmas where correct discounts weren't applying, free figures weren't working for some, and so on. And these kind of things happen almost every day in the store. So when the glitches work FOR us, I get excited.

I'm pretty disappointed in some people who spent like 100's of dollars buying things they knew were MASSIVELY glitched and WAY underpriced. I feel awful for the PAs that quite literally got robbed of their hard earned money. I spent $6 and couldn't bring myself to spend more than that - I didn't want to rob the PAs.
I hope Daz reimburses the PAs for their losses some how. Poor RawArt - to have this happen to him on his birthday and to have his items glitched lower than many other PAs items. Ugh ...What a crappy birthday for him. I feel so bad for him. :(
Know what you mean. I mostly checked a few items out of curriosity, thought it was too good to be true. Turns out, it was.
I know what you mean - I saw the new Elebeast and was tempted, but I figured it couldn't be anywhere near the right price.
I'll save my vouchers for later in the month.
I really hope they reimburse him too. I reported it as soon as I saw it but I'm sure plenty of people got insane deals on those new items.
You really have to wonder how many times whoever puts the new sales up and completely messes it up can get away with it before it's not okay. I mean it's been like 50.. 60 times at least this year? You'd think there would be a test version of the sight to put sales on a day early by this point. Oh well, more great deals for us!

I am tempted to think they're actually just giving a few perks to those of you who are ringing in the New Years at the DAZ store.

I slept through it too. But, reading this thread, I'd probably feel guilty if I took advantage. The question is: should we feel guilty if we got stuff at 90% off during a 'glitch'? Like everyone's said, it happens occassionally. But there are 36k products in the DAZ store. No one will ever buy but small a fraction of that. So even at 90% off, I'd be buying a lot of stuff I'd never use...and likely never buy otherwise...simply because it's such a good deal (just how the brain works I guess).
So my question to DAZ is: if we happen to buy a glitched-low-priced item, should we feel guilt?
Now the other day I received 2 gift cards for the price of 1. I was definitely going to report that (turned out one of the gift cards had 0 balance...so nothing gained/lost). But lower priced store items? Would like to hear thoughts from DAZ.
I'm not going to feel guilty over their continual inability to work their own store (if it was a one off thing sure but this happens basically weekly.) It's completely in Daz's control and not at all in ours.
Daz Originals aren't losing PAs anything either. I generally won't intentionally buy new release PA items with broken prices though that's solely a personal decision.

The store is open 24/7 worldwide. Test servers are cheap. I know, I work in IT and use them. They might be more of a hassle, but DAZ is losing money with these glitches. So are the PAs. You can bet Amazon and other big places have them. DAZ is awesome and unique. I know of no other 3D store that comes close. In fact, I don't know many other ecommerce sites that even attempt what they do. I applaud them for constantly pushing the envelope with products, marketing and sales. It's a joy to come here every day and just watch what they're doing.
As customers, we have no control over the prices. All we can do is decide whether to buy or not. It's DAZ's responsibility to get it right. I don't want to shortchange any PA, or DAZ either because of a glitch, but the glitches do seem ridiculous at times. It seems like DAZ is working without a net if they're not using test servers to prevent these glitches from happening.
I'm glad I slept through this one. My New Year's resolution is "Render more, spend less." Love the sales, and occasionally even the store hiccups, but it will take me forever to use what I already have.
How people respond to glitches is a private issue and not something which needs to be examined in the forum.
RawArt's stuff, except for new items, is now 83% off...
Yeah, thought they fixed everything, since it's afternoon here. Went to check out, cart doubled. Dumped everything. I have plenty to render and while I'd love to pick up more of Raw Art's stuff, they need to get the prices right. Everything keeps changing and my head hurts too much to deal with it.
They fixed RawArt, but now none of the PA items are discounted...

I think all those sales spoiled me. Loved the prices. Not seeing anything lately that I can't live without, but then again, I've bought so much. So I'm busy rendering and learning on my thread in the Art Studio. Maybe it's a holiday sale hangover! Need some time to recover from the craziness and figure out what the heck I have now.
