Computex teasers, products

Computex is just around the corner, and we are starting to see more and more product teasers to whet our interest...
In doing my daily tech site rounds, I came across three new 1080Ti products that may be of interest to a few of you here:
First off, this beefy 1080Ti card, aimed at performance enthusiasts:
http://wccftech.com/evga-geforce-gtx-1080-ti-kingpin-edition-teaser/
And two mini versions of the 1080Ti, one being liquid cooled to boot!

NVidia's GTXBattlebox PCs have embraced Ryzen. These may or may not be of interest so some of you here.
Phantek is releasing a line of RGB water blocks for AMD CPUs.

This is more of a future thing, but if true is an interesting move by Intel nonetheless:
A 10 core I9-7900X has been spotted in the SiSoft Sandra database. 4.0GHz base, 4.5GHz boost...
https://www.techpowerup.com/233667/new-details-on-intels-upcoming-10-core-skylake-x-i9-7900x-surface
I stumbled across this Titan Xp 12Gb review also, for those looking for the biggest, baddest Iray friendly card out there currently.

Just a few days left until Computex!

Not sure if these guys will be at Computex, but apparently there's a new Amiga out there, for those that might be nostalgic...

Just found this link via a youtube video. Took a screenshot of the page for y'all. Possible Threadripper MHz stats?
Skroutz is apparently an online retailer of some sort, maybe from Greece(?). Release date is expected to be soon (Google Translation), no pricing info as of yet on that page.
The listed clock speed (from the screenshot) for the Threadripper 1998x is 3500 MHz, or .100 Mz slower than Ryzen 7 1800X (3600 MHz). So just a wee bit slower, not bad for 16 cores vs 8, assuming that the listed stats turn out to be accurate!
thanks. nice synopsis
Here's a teaser for the Intel i7 Extreme Edition mobo and 12 core processor:

Press conferences from Computex are beginning to trickle in. First off though, the rumormill is all abuzz about this one...
Here's a new rumor mentioning 18 core processors from Intel:
https://videocardz.com/69900/exclusive-intel-to-launch-18-core-core-i9-7980xe-cpu
Here's Anandtech's recounting of the Asus press conference. Lots of Intel laptops, I'm not seeing anything AMD related though...
http://www.anandtech.com/show/11457/asus-computex-2017-press-conference-live-blog
Guru3D is talking about a lot of X299 and 1080Ti products, posting scoops abtout the products they are seeing at Computex.

This may be of interest to a few of you here: An external GPU housiing for Thunderbolt 3 from Powercolor. Just the thing for those upcoming Thunderbolt 3 equipped laptops, sucb as the Zenbook Pros with 2 TBolt ports that Asus just announced!

For those looking for Radeon Pro news to tide you over until AMD's press conference later this week week: AMD was at NAB last week, talking about their partnerships with Adobe and other vendors...
http://pro.radeon.com/en-us/amd-announces-radeon-pro-duo-at-nab-show-2017/
AMD was also at Liveworx 2017 last week, but I'm not finding a post conference synopsis of what they discussed there at the moment.
Damn, still my favourite PC ever.
I still have a working Amiga 1500; my 4000 bit the dust a long time ago.
Here's a leak detailing suggested pricing for the new Intel Kaby Lake X and Skylake X processors:
http://wccftech.com/intel-kaby-lake-x-skylake-x-pricing-leaked-core-i9-7920x-7900x-7820x-7800k-i7-7740k-i5-7640k/
I was beginning to get worried that I hadn't seen any mobos for Threadripper yet. Here's a couple from Asus!
http://wccftech.com/asus-rog-x399-zenith-extreme-x370-crosshair-vi-extreme-motherboard/
And some other X399 Mobos:
http://wccftech.com/gigabyte-x399-aorus-gaming-7-amd-ryzen-threadripper-motherboard-pictured/
Also, I saw some pics of the Ryzen laptop during my internet rounds:
https://videocardz.com/70007/asus-rog-gl702zc-is-worlds-first-ryzen-powered-laptop
Hopefully we get a version of said laptop with a 1080 in it. Nvidia talked about 1080's for laptops in their Keynote.
I followed the liveblog from Nvidia's Keynote yesterday. It was mostly about using GPU's for AI oriented stuff, although they did mention Volta briefly. I was expecting more product oriented stuff not as much application related stuff.
There are lots of 1080Ti variants showing up at Computex, which is to be expected.
Here's a link to Anandtech's live blog of Intel's presentation at Computex. They are claiming a 30% increase in performance for the 8th gen core-i chips over the previous ones, among other things:
http://www.anandtech.com/show/11470/intel-computex-2017-press-conference-live-blog
And here's a link to a couple of WCCF Articles talking about the i9's and their performance numbers:
http://wccftech.com/intel-core-x-core-i9-7900x-vs-core-i7-6950x-cpu-benchmarks/
http://wccftech.com/intels-x299-based-core-x-series-breaks-8-world-records-hwbot-performance-matters-taipiei-event-core-i9-7900x-overclocked-5-8-ghz-ln2/
Looks like Intel is taking AMD seriously, based on their suggested MSRP's. More cores for the same price as the previous gen processors, and a performance boost to boot? YAY!
AMD's Computex press event starts in a few minutes. Anandtech is doing a liveblog here:
http://www.anandtech.com/show/11476/computex-2017-amd-press-event-live-blog-starts-10pm-et
Will post any interesting tidbits that we don't already know later. Perhaps we'll get Threadripper pricing among other things.
Edit:
Post conference wrap-up:
Saw a Ryzen+Vega APU running on a really thin laptop, a couple of Threadripper and Vega demos, and some OEM's showcasing a Ryzen product or two.
Short form: RX Vega will launch around SIGGRAPH at the end of July. Threadripper some time this summer (no firm date). So, pretty much, for today, it's all about Ryzen 5 and 7, with the other products showing up later this year. The Anand live blog linked above will give you a better play by play, but essentailly if you followed AMD's Analyst Day coverage, you are already pretty much up to speed.
Computex Day 3 update (or is it day 4? Taipei is a day minus a few hours ahead of the US).
Day 3 is boring. Lots of minor products like glass and wood cases, some mention of Apollo Lake, but nothing that will be of interest to most of you here. The big reveals have already happened.
If anything interesting pops up, I'll post an update, but I'm not holding my breath. Short form: i9, Threadripper, Vega soon, 1080Tis abound!
Nothing really interesting for Computex Day 3 unless you are shopping for cases, cooling, etc.
http://www.tomshardware.com/news/computex-2017-highlights-day-3,34614.html
In somewhat related news, apparently Ryzen prices have dropped in the last few days:
http://wccftech.com/amd-ryzen-7-prices-drop-ahead-of-threadripper-launch/
So if you were contemplating a Ryzen 5 or 7 build, the price drops are welcome news. If you are waiting on Threadripper, pull up a comfy chair, it'll be a while... (sometime this Summer).
The EPYC server chips were supposed to hit the market in late June. I'll be interested in seeing pricing on those.
I'm running Win10 Pro on both of my systems, and have no big complaints.
Win10 Home can be frustrating when it decides that it's update and restart time regardless of what the computer is doing.
Well it has been said in another thread that Nvidia is supposedly in talks with Microsoft over the reserved vram thing.. doing some investigating and some folks are saying it is an Nvidia driver Cuda issue with Win 10 how true that is well whow knows.. But when looking I did find mention of a program called Process Explorer that supposedly reports vram usage more clearly..
OT Those volta cards look very interesting indeed will have to wait and see what they are all about.. One good thing is that when I get the finances I will be able to get an I9 and some other goodies.. :)
Here's a review of the 8Gb GAorus 1080 (not Ti) with 11Gb/s memory, one of the cards showcased at Computex:
http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/gigabyte_geforce_gtx_1080_aorus_11_gbps_review,40.html
It's quiet apparently, and with a $539 US price point (current price on Newegg). This might be a decent alternative to a full 1080Ti for those on a slightly more limited budget. The faster memory does indeed seem to make a significant difference.
The folks over at Guru 3d have been chatting with a few of the motherboard partners. Apparently we'll be seeing the 6, 8, and 10 core Skylake X processors soon, possibly in the next week or two, but the mobo partners haven't even seen, let alone had a hands on with, the larger cores yet...
http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/computex-2017-intel-core-i9-launches-with-up-to-10-cores-first-does-4-3-ghz-on-lcs.html
So, no new word on when the 12 core, etc. Skylake X products will enter the product chain.
This is more of a Computex followup post, but relevant nonetheless.
WCCFTech has noted that the AMD's Radeon Pro Vega has been officially introduced, complete with die shot.

And AMD released an official press announcent today for the Radeon Pro 500 series for the Imac.
