How do you convert conforming prop or clothing to simple prop?

BruganBrugan Posts: 365

I want to use some stuff from the https://www.daz3d.com/sf-horrible-slime-iray most of it loads with character conforming rigging even if there is no character in scene. How do I load this and convert to a simple prop?

Thanks in advance :)

    I don't have DAZ open at the moment, but I think this is it:

    Go to Editor->Figure->Geometry->Convert to Prop

    It's in that Geometry menu.

    That's worked, anyone know how to zero the positioning? It's floating several feet from the origin point or whatever it's called :)

    Ctrl + D drops to floor

    Sorry, I mean the object is floating at arm height and the positioning tool is already on the floor. How do i zero the object to its "origin point"?

    Just because an object is conforming, it can still be used without any people, just double click on it without selecting a character. The included bones might be useful to pose the slime how you want it.

    Here's a clip of what is happening. I want to get the object (upper left) to align with it's base down on the floor.

    The answer is not using "drop to floor" because that ends up placing the positioning tool underground.

    I'm betting this is a simple solution that is buried in a drop down somewhere I just can't find it o_O

    @Brugan - I think you have to use the Joint editor, to move the object origin to a point in the object, rather than the base of a figure it would normally be attached to.

    Thanks I'll give that a try tonight :)

    Awesome, that did it! Took me a few mins to figure out that I had to drag the arrows to the object instead of trying to drag the object to the arrows but it worked like a charm thanks!
