I use PSE11 because it usually fills all my needs in a picture editing program. Constantly upgrading is not something I need, as I am not a professional. I can use most of Ron's brushes, but it would be sad if this set wouldn't be compatible.
oh gosh i didn't even notice the reference to CC 2018 - I don't even know what that is. LOL. I haven't picked these brushes up as yet (solely due to finances, nothing to do with the brushes themselves) but i'm still on an older version of PS that obviously wouldn't use these.
I still use Photoshop Elements and am fairly unlikely to upgrade to CC (I wish I'd bought CS6 when it was easily available, but I didn't realise the subscription thing was about to happen). I have 60 of Ron's brush packs and all but 2 work fine in PSE (Fireflies and Glitter) but with Abrmate I manage to use them via the .png route. I'm sad that the newest are CC only, but if I hear of anyone using them successfully via Abrmate then I'd grab those newest sets too!
ETA: Or if an upgrade will allow them to work natively in PSE - most of the CS6 ones seem to work, except vector brushes.

As I posted above... work fine in PSE2018 - Photoshop Elements 2018
Thanks @Stezza - I missed that earlier post. I currenly have PSE9 (yes, very old!) and was thinking of getting a more up-to-date version - sounds like that would be a good idea. I don't suppose vector brushes work in PSE2018 too?
Ron's brushes are freaking amazing. Been using them since I discovered the DAZ store. They were some of the first things in my cart. Back then I was using CS5. Most of his brushes work perfectly in it, a few need CS6 or higher but I rarely ran into an issue. I've since upgraded to CC2018, but if I ever get tired of paying for a subscription, it's nice knowing most of them will still work in my copy of CS5. I currently own 87 of his products. Less than half a page left to go!
I want to thanks you Guys for pointing out this was for PS CC instead of PS CS . I have PScs5.5-3D extended license as well I almost purchased these brushes with out reliesing the description said suports CC 2018 only, I'm really happy I ran across this thread. I already had to return a couple items that I bought because they were so heavey on resources it was more than my 2- 980ti or my PC system RAM could handle, I never seen Iray sets that would push my system ram over 24 gigs. Its real shame too because I really like both these set.
@devineydesigns LLC. I too have about 50 of your PS brushes sets, they truly are the best I have ever used. I must be using your water PS brushes daily in post workor in some project.. But I am not planning on ever using PS CC, To me its not worth it what you have to pay for it every month. so I wish listed this brush set until a update has been announced then I will happily purchase it at that time Thank you for all your hard work you put into these brushes , they truly are the best I ever used.
I have .ABR brushes that open fine in Gimp, but it might be that there's a new catch I'm not aware of. Perhaps there's someone who purchased this set and also has Gimp out there who could give it a try :)
Same here I have a few sets of ABR brush sets made for Photoshop, that work perfectly fine in Gimp.. As far as I know only ATN files won't work in Gimp..
Does anybody know the compatibility with Corel Paintshop? Asking for a friend...
...and because don't pay subscriptions for software. The only thing I rent these days is beer, water, tea, coffee, and the Oxford Comma.
I have paintshop pro 2018 and several previous versions installed too
I use PSP9.x every day It's the last version Jasc made before they sold us out to Corel,. I also have 3 other versions, X4, X9. and now 2018 (none of them installed though).
I'll have to install 2018 to find out what is supported. Previous versions of PSP always had a size limit, and the biggest PS brush you could bring it was 500x500 px. I'll see if that's changed.
Ok, I installed my PSP Pro 2018 and the newest brushes I have are the Glitter. I couldn't get PSP to even put them in the Import Brush dialog box. It just sat there. I also unzipped the CS6 version of Powder and they wouldn't import either. They won't import with my PS either. I only have CS2 and I got an error popup saying the brush is newer than my program will support.
So that was a bust for me. Good news is, PSP2018 doesn't restrict the size of PS brushes like earlier versions. I set my canvas size to 3000x3000 and was able to use the Angel Dust and Powder brushes full size. So at least that's good news. I don't have to use png files and convert them anymore.
I don't know if these new ones work in Gimp. I don't have it on my computer anymore.

...I quit with PSP when they went to download only. Don't mind direct DL for "freeware" but if I pay 80$ for a programme I want backup media with an installer as well for no extra charge should I need to do a clean install after a system upgrade or repair.

In 2016 I bought PSP Ultimate X9 that came to me in a box, and a couple months ago I got the PSP Pro 2018 delivered to me in a box. I don't know if you're in the US or overseas, but here it comes in a box.

I'm in the UK and my PSP 2018 didn't come in a box, it's download only, but I did make a backup of the installer so I could re-install.
I've found the whole cloud system a bit unreliable. I just had to re-install everything after a hard disc failure. I re-ran the PSP installer I had downloaded, connected to my account and told it to re-install all purchased content. It installed Particle Shop but not the brush pack i bought for Particle Shop, in fact it keeps offering to sell it to me at a discount. It's listed as one of my registered products but PSP doesn't seem to recognise this. I'll search my backups and if I can't find an installer for it I'll have to get on to Corel support and see if I convincde them to let me download it.
Ok yeah, that's it then. Not in US. I don't like to download software either. I like an actual cardboard box in hand. I noticed a lot of popups yesterday when I installed PSP 2018. It kept trying to get me to buy brushes, Particle shop and other things. I have to keep clicking the x to close the box. I mean I paid for the program outright, so quit having popups in my face each time I open it.
I'd think when you give them your serial number for your PSP, they'd have no choice but to give them to you. Do you have a confirmation emai from when you bought it?

I don't have the email anymore but when I log into my account in a browser it shows the brush pack as a registered purchase but without an installation key, and it isn't listed under my available downloads. The downloads only shows free add-ons, none of the things I actually paid for.

Wow, I'd def get with support and tell them your story. That's ridiculous. How can they not have an installation key?
Not sure if this could be your issue, but...with regards to PaintshopPro...
If you buy brushes from the store and not from within the application, you will get an installer, but they won't show as "purchased" within the app. I don't think they come with a serial number though. They are on my other machine so I can't check right now. If you purchase brushes from within the app, they will show as purchased within the app. But if you purchase them in PSP, they won't show as purchased in Corel Painter though. Or Visa vera. Just the app you bought them in.
If you buy them from within the app, and you need to re-install from within Painter, then is a menu option to re-install past purchases. I think it is under the Brush menu. I haven't had to do this in PSP so I'm not sure if there is the same option there.
In Painter, they changed they way this works for the newer brushes. The re-import option didn't work. But they showed purchased within the app, and I clicked on it and it asked me if I wanted to re-install.
The was one stinky change that I didn't like about how this works now. The brushes used to work in Painter and PaintshopPro via ParticleShop regardless of how you bought them, although getting them to show up in all the apps was sometimes a challenge. But I bought the new brush pack from within Painter, but they didn't show up in ParticleShop. I contacted Support and they said there is a different installer for both which means I would have to buy that large brush pack twice. I figured I wasn't going to buy the same brushes twice just so I could have them in all my apps.

So how can anyone have any version between the latest version and CS6?
Some are 'legacy' owners and own older versions, back before the cloud system was introduced.
My puchase was part of a suite and I don't think it's worth it to suddenly start renting- for the new features they've added.
If I was brand new to photoshop and such and saw the investment, I might play along.
I'm old fashioned and don't like paying for access to things.
I like owning stuffs.

CS6 was the last one offered as a permanent license.
CS 5 user here, so add me to those who would buy if the older CS version was supported. & I currently own 39 Ron's brush packs. :)
These work fine in PSE2018 apart from the usual size restriction which automagically brings the brushes back to a max size of 2500px

CS6 user and owner of 58 packs of brushes by Ron.
Still some to purchase but I hope the new packs to come won't be for CC only.

I can't believe there isn't a utility or plug-in to convert brush files- since I read somewhere that only the SIZE is the issue.
So, nothing can shrink a brush size's max scale to make it compatible?
How does Ron, himself, convert his brushes?
I use PSP9.x every day It's the last version Jasc made before they sold us out to Corel,. I also have 3 other versions, X4, X9. and now 2018 (none of them installed though).
