I really like the bronze look in that set.

Quick question for Ignis, my content didn't load with a product for smart-content or meta-data or any category listings. I used DIM to install it, and I restarted/imported meta, etc. but still no support files. Is that a bug, or did it not come with the metadata? (I have the G2F set)

Well I attempted to set up the MD on it... but I am pretty certain I didn't do it right. DAZ was doing the MD data on my sets, but maybe they don't anymore. In any case, the zips don't have MD in them, so the short answer is I guess not. I can double check with QA.

Thanks for checking that. No rush, it's not critical, I found it fine in contents tab.

Ok wait... scratch that. I looked a little deeper (I didnt know where it installed to) and yes, they do have MetaData. They will be in the Runtime folder, in support in the zip. Also, it should be right, as its not metadata I did LOL (I apparently never included the files... doh. Im such a newb lol)

Ok, I looked in the runtime/support folder, and I DO have a DSX file (and DSA and JPG) for both Midnight Huntress and Darkelves, but dont get any category listings when I right clik on them and select "Categorize..." Thats how I usually check what category its in. Also if I clik on "show in" for products I get no listing.

Maybe I need to try to reimport all my meta data, because the metas for those aren't loading at all, and I didn't know if anyone else was having this problem, or if it's just me.

Edit: I re-imported Midnight Hunter and Dark Elves, and they did come up in the database list, but none of the items show a category for me and no product listing in smart contents, even when I self-assign a category. So either the support DSX file is wrong, or something odd is going on in my DS.

Yeah hmmm sadly, I probably wont be much help there, as I dont really use meta data. Im a bit of a DS newb so to speak, so I havent really delved into that yet. Perhaps someone else who has more experience would be better help (but ill see if I can figure out if its working ok too lol)

I like it!! I think it looks good. And yeah, hair can be particularly tricky with the ears. Valea is a great place to get some elfy hair if anyone is looking for em. She does a lot of hair that accounts for elf ears.

I have to say, I REALLY love the set on the men. Mayhaps I will have to do a male one at some point, with male armor.

Wow thats HAWT! It does look good on a guy.
    Thank you, Ignis :)

I wanted to use morphs on a guy too (that one was my own mix, and you can see the ears a not really WoW-style) but yesterday didn't have time to do so.

Today I separated head morphs (with and without ears, ears alone and eyes alone) from the body morph in Genesis variation. I wish I could somehow share those morphs with other people who'd love to use those pointy ears or elfin face on male figures. It is very easy to do in ZBrush but not everybody has ZBrush -_-

Here are examples of just separated morphs on Genesis and one render where I used DarkElf face as a 100% core with addition of some other morphs (mostly just chin and a bit on lips) to make an elf guy. Bodymorph is a MaleBody by DarioFish.

Also by some reason the skins with shader from the package take forever to render even with simplest lights -_- Is that supposed to be this way?

I like that face Kattey. The AOA shaderscan take a while to render they always take ages to calculate, then I find its not too slow.

I also used the Pale Pink skin on a male.

That face on last render is 100% (separated) DarkElf face morph + some adjustments for chin, from Evolution and DieTrying's set. But yeah, mostly Dark Elf :)

Your render is also very nice, I like his smile :)

Is there a way to turn it off without messing up with the rest of the shader? It takes me 40-50 minutes to start rendering with full shader on and UE lights.

On the Surface tab for the AoA SSS Shader, look from SSS strength. I dont have access to DS right now so I cannot give you the exact name of the setting and where in the list it is but it is there as I saw it yesterday while I was playing with a SSS based G2F character

Has any one else tried using the Dark Elf no ears slider in the shaping tab? I have uninstalled an reinstalled twice now and when trying to use this function it does nothing for the ears but give a weird distortion on breasts and bottom. It is set at 100% no ears on the image below I even tried negative. What am I doing wrong? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The way I did is to use G2F/v6 body and apply the iSkin-ApplyAll then you will be able to use the ear morph. The shape for the ear morph doesn't look the same as the Elf Ear that the comes with the package.

The actor itself I think you can't modify the ear except to hide it for the hood.

You only need to dial the Dark Elf No Ears dial.

Tried using it to hide the ear morph with the hood on and it did the same thing. Haven't tried using the Gen 1 and just applying the skin, I will give that a shot. thanks Zenrel.

Very nice work! And yeah, I wanted to do em separate but I was worried that it would cause a ridge somewhere where it cut off. So I ended up doing the no ears morph last min (I morphed the ear out completely, so thats not even the default ear) so that ppl could at least use it without the ears. Ill definitely split up the morphs next time tho heh live and learn, I guess.

As for the shader... it can be a little render intensive. Its got SSS on the skin, velvet on the outfit tex. I used just raytraced shadows on a light, but Im sure the more complex your lights are, the more render intensive it can be (also, I have my render settings optimized, so higher settings on that will make it longer too)

Yes, I do indeed love this set on males. I think I am going to add it to my loooooooooooong to do list LOL
