Seems like I'm the only one who actually likes the Superman/Wonder Woman Romance. :(

Still, if I had things my way, the New 52 would never have existed in the first place.

Especially Kal's new look. Armor (seriously? Armor?!), no trunks, an unnecessary rebooted origin, he's WAY too powerful, radically different personality, etc. Speaking of Kal's personality, it's different with each writer. In JLA, he's nothing more than a thug, in his own book, he can be a bully or fall back to the personality we all know and love. It's like Kal has multiple personality disorder from writer to writer and none of them can decide what they want Kal to be.

Then there's Supergirl's costume. It looks like a cross between what someone would wear in the Matrix combined with New Genesis which all equals one ugly mess.

I guess I don't like the Superman/Wonder Woman relationship because I don't like her being defined as Superman's Girlfriend, which basically is what happened when they started "dating". I don't always agree with Alan Moore's take on things, but when he had them kiss briefly in the "For the Man Who Has Everything", the following dialogue occurred.

Superman: "Mmm, why don't we do that more often?"

Wonder Woman: "I don't know. Too predictable?"

    Superman: "You're probably right."

Pretty much sums it up for me. :-) I thought it worked better in "Kingdom Come", because it felt earned, due to their love interests being dead or gone and the fact that they were constants each could depend on.

As for the costume, most of the Jim Lee "New 52" designs are just terrible. It's not the 90s anymore, and I didn't even like them then.

*EDIT* Excuse my horrible formatting if you read this before.

I'm glad I missed this whole New 52 thing. Such reboots always bug me on a level I know they shouldn't.

Speaking of which - didja ever find yourself making a render of a character you hate just because it kind of fell together?

I was playing with Sixus1's H.E.R. figure, and the wristy blade thingies made for H.E.R, when something got me wanting to make that lame villain from Hulk 181 (that's all that character will ever be to me, just a lame Hulk villain!) (Yup - I'm a Mutie Hater!) (Haven't liked X-Men since issue 93, just before they introduced this whole "New X-Men" group) (Really!).

    This is what happened.

huh.. I thought for sure I'd replied to this thread, but I can't seem to find my post..

So I'm fairly new to D|S 4.6 and Genesis (only got a computer able to run them a few months ago) and I'm absolutely loving them. After a string of good commissions, I was able to pick up the $300 Supersuit bundle on Fastgrab with a coupon for around $60 and am still trying to plumb it's depths.. This is one of my first renders with it.

And this is one of my more recent ones. I felt there hasn't been enough love given to the faceless minions of the big baddies..

Just posted these up at ShareCG, in case there's any interest... they're for Nadino's Mach 1.6 Bodysuit (which was based on joequick's Mach 1.5 suit). The material presets are for DS (both .dsa and .duf formats), but all the maps are there for the Poser peeps to work out.

Nightwing also wears the M4 Trekker boots; I've included a preset for them as well. The mask is from Joe's StreetLVL Justice set.

The Flashes also use Joe's Nadino Mask and bits from his Golden Age Heroes set (neither of which are currently available, but it wouldn't hurt to try asking politely, else you'll have to find your own workarounds), as well as aztecmarco's Head Wings.

Nice Stuff! Love the Kid Flash. If I ever get around to doing the Wonder Girl outfits I intend to, then I will be on my way to Silver Age Teen Titans.

I obviously have missed that iteration of the Bat (somewhat stuck in the '60s and '70s).
Please enlighten me as it looks very cool, as does your render.

That'd be from an Elsworlds story called "Gotham by Gaslight." Takes place in the 1800s with Jack the Ripper making his way to Gotham.

Very, very cool. Need to see a bigger version, if you've got one.

    Very well done.

I never understood the frustration over this feature, as all I've ever known of it is people complaining that it doesn't work; I've always just did a serach on my user name. The good news is, now that I've quoted you, your name will bring this thread up in a search now too.

Thanks for the quote then. Glad to be back. I was loading up my shiny new Windows 8 installation so been hitting my share of glitches but was hoping that a fresh install of Firefox would perhaps help to fix this sub issue but to no avail. It's on DAZ's end of things.

Now back to the regularly scheduled bat channel! lol

    WOOT! Free comic!

Thanks Borgy - I'm downloading that mofo right now :)

It's now added to this week's haul of comics I have yet to read, but it looks like a fun read. Just liked the Facebook page too, to keep up.

    Thanks again!
