Solar Wardens for Genesis 8 Female

“Solar Wardens for Genesis 8 Females” is the latest sci-fi outfit from midnight_stories. It comes with a fullbody suit, gloves, helmet and Pulse Rifle. There’s 12 Hierarchical Material Presets in worn metal paint and car paint. It should fit all shapes and future shapes. The helmet glass can be raised or hidden. The Pulse Rifle comes with Hierarchical pose for Genesis 8 female. As a bonus I’ve added 10 poses, with 2 double handed rifle grips for the upper body so you can make your own poses. There’s a matching Genesis 8 Male set, so be on the look out for that set. The worn metal paint materials are an overlay base so you can change them to what ever color you like, while maintaining the metal wear on the surface. This will be a great addition to any sci-fi scene.

The Suit Gloves and Helmet can easily have their colors chanded on the worn melal material and all share the same UV set so it's easy to copy and paste materials.

  • Quick render, so the face is all jacked up, but the armor resolved well enough.

Looks good, and I appreciate that the boys and girls get the same suit for this. Mixed gender futuristic military units FTW.
I like Leviathan and Hydron better, but this comes with a harder-looking gun. I like that these new suits come with guns and poses with the guns. Guns = good.

The Pulse Rifle could be better when compared to dedicated Gun props. (Of course, this is included with the armor, so it's not necessarily fair to compare this with a fancied-up Gun prop.)
I like the Pulse Rifle a lot, and it's great to have a gun that fits the armor, but I'd comment on a couple things here.

When I see rails, I think, "Customize this b-word like a milpr0n gun". The rails are kind of small, though. Not the easiest to use with other stuff. If there are rails, they need to be super functional.

Regarding the rail... those Iron Sights are locked in. I could edit them out, but they are not a separate Surface (all part of the Metal surface), nor are they a separate piece. So adding a Red Dot or Scope is not as quick as it could be.
Also, the Iron Sight is just small, like the rail that its on. It needs to be more obnoxious/huge.
That rear rail is a little far back? Ideally, it would go closer/over the grip/trigger region. It just doesn't run forward enough.

I stuck some stuff from the Black Snake AR onto the Pulse Rifle just because it's what I do with gun props. A little Supressor & scope action.
(That's one way to get more mileage out of guns from the Daz store.)

Though there are differences, it does look very similar in style to the Hydron and Leviathan suits, as if they're specialized variations of eachother. So I'm curious: are the helmets interchangable, meaning, they don't clip too badly?

And now I just have to find a pair of matching high heels to go with it. While I'm sure there are people who appreciate sci-fi outfits with flats, for each one of those there will be one (at least) who'd like heels instead. wink

EDIT: Nope, it does cliip. I think I either need less booze or more booze today...

Looked at Hydron & Solar Warden, the helmets are almost interchangable, but there's some slight clipping because the neck and helmets don't stop/start in the same place across both armors.

The colors match nicely, though, so if you want "Specialist" or "Engineer" to wear one kind, then they can still match the rest of the unit's color pattern.
They are all quite lovely armors... just not necessarily interchangable.

Darn, but thanks for testing, I'll add this one to the top of my wishlist then.

Excellent job with the gun design totally gives it a new look. Love it !

I definitely had to get this because it's futuristic hard armor that has both Male and Female versions.

I don't always render clothed models (LOL), but when I do, I want stuff like this. (Here, using the pistol from the Hydron set.)

Thanks! It's the nicest gun you've done yet. Or, the meanest-looking gun. It has a nice hard militaristic edge to it. The Hydron Pistol is quite good as well.

Like I said, it could be more mod friendly for weapon attachments (Polish has a ton, but there are plenty of scopes and attachments). There could be more attachment points and bigger rails. I stuck a red laser onto this one (from one of Polish's guns). The rear sight is Porsimo's, from an old Poser freebie on sharecg.

Little subtle changes to the guns are ways to transform it for Special Forces operators. If only I had a good Picatinny Rail prop, I could mount a full scope on this...

  • Yes red is my favorite color, will have to think about doing kits for the guns, so would have to make a zero pose for the gun

so it's easy to put them on, I think you can zero the position out now,and the hand grip poses will bring them back in to position.

I'm learning the new blender at the moment so I hope that will pick up the quality on the props.

    Thanks for the support !

Add a longer/wider rail, and model the sights separate from the gun. That's my suggestion.

Polish does great work with the guns.  You don't have to go all out like that, but maybe do one attachment per set if it doesn't take too much time, and then a collector can build a library of weapon attachments. Scopes, suppressors, sights.

Might have to mock something up like the FN SCAR and put something over the top of the Pulse Rifle.

I wonder what I've got in Nurnies and Greebles...

Okay, kind of terrible, but here's a quick Pulse Rifle mod using Nurnies 1 & Nurnies 2, plus a couple primitives and a scope from Polish. Nurnies 1 has the rail piece (wpn01).

Scope is too high for comfort, but it's there just because it's a scope.
I can do a better mod than this... but the capability is there.

As long as the weapons are mod-able (not too many integrated scopes and whatnot), that's good. If you can make the scopes and sights into separate Surface zones at least, that would help.

Okay, once more because that previous Pulse Rifle mod is terrible.

This time, I added a big handle with a rail on top. I could mount a scope on that rail, but I just used iron sights.

Need to work on the shaders for those parts, though. It's all Nurnies 1 & 2 bits.

Looks safe! No obvious issues or poke-throughs for Kanade 8

  • That's looks great no bad deforms, helmet is fine. Great color choice to !

    Thanks again :)

  • Hey, great Product, especially the Centaur version. Will a G8F Centaur version ever come out? I'd love to see this!

I remember Midnight Stories making comments to the effect that the male centaur version was an utter sales bomb, so I’d guess that a female version won’t happen.

The troubles is DAZ didn't have a clone for the female or male version so there was no easy way to convert them over.

But model from the start again, things are tight at the moment and I have to find the quickest path for production, this just was time consuming for the male.

I still try to support both while I can, and my next suit I support both !
