i just updated my nvidia studio driver via the gforce experience app, and i'm not thrilled with the result.

any idea where i might be able to find previous versions of the studio drivers?  i was happy with the one i downloaded in march.

any advice appreciated!

:)

You might be able  to roll back to the previous driver in the device manager. You can find your card under display adapter, right click the card and select properties. There will be a driver tab with the option to roll back.

If that doesn't work, you can find the March driver here still. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/drivers/

  • I really wish that windows provided a way to test drivers before committing to their installation(without resorting to rolling back & cluttering the system). I remember I use to test stuff like this on Windows 7, but I had to rely on a 3rd party program that would write stuff to a hidden partition that gets expunged upon reboot, which was very handy to have; especially for testing Daz stuff.

Just download the drivers from https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx install them (just the drivers) and that's it.

Press the key with the Windows logo, next to the ALT key on the left. Then start typing "restore" until you see something in the menu that says "Create a restore point". When a window pops up that says "System Properties", click on "System Restore".  When the System Restore window pops up, click "Next" and see if there is a restore point that is before the Nvidia install. Choose that one.

I'd consider using Display Driving Uninstaller; it's great for dealing with stubborn bits left behind by both team red and green.
