Mimic-Live (was: Zoobe like results with Daz Studio?)

A friend of mine got me into that Zoobe app that's been popping up on Tumblr a lot. It's a app that plays different animated characters and syncs the mouths to an audio message you record.
As near as I can tell it's simply volume controlled, there's a mouth position for zero volume and a mouth position for maximum volume and it just morphs one to the other depending on how load the sound is so the flapping makes it look like it's speaking. Would it be possible to do something like this with Daz Studio? Just a simple plug in where you load an audio file and set a controller or even multiple controllers for the low and high volume control and it executes the changes based on the dynamics of the audio file?
Just a simple mouth open mouth close and maybe eyes widening controller synced to volume would actually create a convincing enough effect for a toon animation and being able to set what controller is volume controlled would mean it would work with any figure.

Isn't that plugin for the Victoria 4 figure only? I thought it didn't work with any other figures.
The store page indicates any of your characters? If it's only V4 then that should be clear in the description and compatible figures. The description reads lip sync your charter as opposed to lip sync V4, I'd be requesting a refund if it only did V4, might try and clarify before I purchase!!
Hmmm... anybody here a Mimic user for Daz Studio?
Can you literally use it to animate vocals for any character or only a limited set of figures because if I can use it to animate the mouths of my own custom figures that would be really what I'm after.
Played with it a few years ago. You'll need a configuration file made especially for the figure you want to use, it's possible to make it yourself AFAIK but probably takes a bit of work:

Actually, reading that page it looks like there is some generic configuation file available or something, but I don't know how well it works.
It works with any character if you have a dmc
i hate it though as need to do live, prefer wav files
you can use stereo mix but gets feedback easily
