Zbrush
The product page under the heading of 3D printing says it will exsport an object file that you can then load into any 3D printer slicing , however i am unclear if this would work for the purposes of building morph Targets in Des Studio software

Genesis 8 male "anatomical" figure
miladyderyni_173d399f47 said:
This reminded me of the Daz days of yore. My Michael 3 came with a genitals option. (Can't recall if M4 did as well.)
The icon used was anatomically correct!
The older males had anatomical elements in the body morph sets - the females got a genital crease mroph in the body morph pack.

New Updates: the Daz to Blender Bridge 2.0!
Hi All, once the object is exported to Blender, can we modify the object and transfer the change back to DAZ as a morph?

Tiziano io so che qualcuno ne esiste, però non so come cercarli. A volte mi capiti che qualcuno su DA posti qualche render con prodotti fatti da se, e poi dicono che puoi trovarli su patreon. Ma io non ne seguo nessuno. Magari puoi fare una ricerca su Google. O magari chiedi sul forum

[Newbie Question] What can do with daz studio?
I am a new user who recently got to know Daz Studio and an Unreal Game Programmer.
I don't know much about the Daz Studio and I'm inferring its function.
First of all, I understand it's a posing tool.
And what I felt when I saw the function of dressing.
Molphing clothes, armor, etc. that should be set separately for each body type of character
It seems to set it automatically.
If i could take advantage of it,
I'm asking because I think it'll be a good workflow to make fitable clothes on a large RPG.
1. Does anyone successfuly used the Daz studio as a workflow with Unity and Unreal?2. Is there any advantage over the Zbrush-3dsMax workflow to make full humanbody and cloth/armor?
3. Based on the plug-in called Goz
Can I move the Genesis8 character to the Zbrush, sculp and come back to the Daz studio?
still the morph and rig remain?4. Is it possible to dress the character of Daz Studio with other armor made of FBX (like a free downloaded asset made from max maya)?
or is it faster than manually fit in maya max?5. Is Dazstudio character can be automatically rigging?
6. Is Dazstudio able to make an animation file?

How to disconnect the auto-follow properties of a morph?
The only option used in GoZ was to send the figure (and graft) to ZB with the current morphs. I believe this is the only option to use if you want to be able to send a morph back to DS using GoZ, and this always works.
The graft does not weld to the figure, it is conformed to the figure.

Dynamic Surface Add On Tutorial
dantist22121991 said:
Unfortunately it doesn't work for me. After applying the Transfer utility, the imported mesh is shifted and distorted. I think this is due to custom morphs on the character or on the clothing itself. But I tried to remove the clothes from the character. And do it all over again on the base grid without morphs. And I got distortions and offsets again. I used the blue color to highlight the imported mesh
There's a couple of MUST rules for this to work. It has to be the base geometry that's fits your base figure. It has to be in zero pose. It has to be base resolution with no smoothing applied. Because the add on vertices must match exactly to the base obj vertices any movement will cause it to not work at all, exactly like with geografts. Using the bridge tool gives me the most consistent results for matching vertices between the 2 parts.

Save dForce as morph for a specific pose
I usually have the figure posed, rather than using the option in the dialogue, but yes it is probably best to export with the figure posed (there's no need to delete everything else, just hide it) then when you import the morph have the pose still aplied to the figure but the dForce simulation cleared (otherwise it will remove that from the morph too, which will leave you only the rounding errors).

A Question about Pose Converters
Hi richardandtracy,
With respect to your pose transfer scripts for M4, they are exactly what I need as my ultimate goal is to apply the poses to G3M and G8M. So I would like to thank you very much for creating them. I only asked about transfer to G2M because I know that there are scripts that can transfer poses from G2 to G3 and G8 figures.
I was wondering about transfering poses from Genesis to G3 and G8 because there are some pose sets that I would like to transfer but I am not aware of any scripts or products that can do that.
I guess my next questions would be about how to transfer K4 morphs to G3 and G8 figures.

DAZ vs BLENDER... Help me understand
@Padone,Our FBX exporter from CC3 will export our lipsynch phonemes as animated blend shapes into blender with after the fact new motion retargets from Iclone via appending to the action editor...... I have my solution.
Are you saying that a person can use the Iphone based
facial capture on G8 figure and Diffeo will import that facial performance into Blender??
Are there any videos of a speaking/emoting G8 character rendered in Blender ,via Diffeo,(link please)
Because @Benniewoodell
has indicated that his Iphone facial performance capture wont transfer to Blender thus he renders in Iray and composites/motion tracks onto Blender backgrounds IIRC.
@Marble that was the point of my earlier post.
This is not a "true" Blender community forum but a "Daz content in Blender" forum.
it is not helpful to simply tell Daz people to "animate their Daz figure in blender" without explaining a pipeline to do so.Convert to rigify/MHX and handkey everything???
because that method is very "old school" Blender and frankly SUCKS!!Great for a studio team with alot of animators on staff though
and what about those Daz users with huge libraries of Daz motion files for idlers & background walkers.??invest in the ROKKO system or a PN suit?? or some other mocap based approach for Blender??
The still render/portrait Daz people have a a clear set of options for external rendering at this pointbut aspiring animators need more detailed advice on external pipelines because their are several that will vary greatly depending on your objectives.

Add 2nd Content Library
yes I got a Prop to show up in the custom Libuary but nothing on the Body Morph I even mimic the folder structure. if its a shaping slider does that matter over a morph im still figuring this stuff out...

Products installed incorrectly [Solved]

The /data/ folder does not contain user-facing files. SWOLE, as I recall, adds new morphs to the Genesis figure.
Oh! Ok. So I'm not supposed to see item icons in the CMS SWOLE area. I'm just supposed to see morph slider(s) in the Shaping Tab for a selected Genesis figure.
And that I do see, the there is no problem here.
Thanks again, Richard.

Save dForce as morph for a specific pose
Hello there,
I'm using dForce to put more realism in clothes physics with poses. It is really time consuming to pose and simulate so I wanted to save some dForce results as morphs to reuse them when I use the same pose and clothes on other characters for example.
I followed this tutorial https://thinkdrawart.com/how-to-save-a-daz-studio-dforce-frame-as-a-morph, it worked really well with the default G8 A pose. But when I try to do the same with a posed character I am not able to load it correctly with MorphLoader, the mesh go full "Mr. Fantastic" when I dial it :D
I tried several things during export and import steps but with no luck, like setting "Reverse Deformation" to Yes or giving the pose as input for the load.
Does anyone know what is the right process to create a morph for a specific pose (from a dForce frame would be the cherry on the top :D) ? Or maybe just some things that I could try to achieve that ^^
Thanks in advance,
Cheers

A Question about Pose Converters
Over in the Freebies forum, there are several discussions by richardandtracy for various free pose converters.
Here's one of those discussions for transferring poses from M4/H4/F4 to/from G3M.
https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/451536/m4-h4-f4-g3m-bi-directional-pose-transfer#latest
Perhaps he's created a similar pose converter for G2M? I didn't search very far. :)

Dformer won't spawn morph on figure. Please help!
I don't think the Poser-format items will accept the morph spawning. Poser figures are actually imported and temporarily converted on-the-fly to DS format (all that auto-adapted stuff in the data folder). You will have to convert to Weight-Mapping (Edit -> Figure -> Rigging -> Convert Figure to Weight Mapping). You will have a choice of TriAx or General weight.TriAx is the older method (Genesis 1 & 2 era), General is the newer. Either one will work, I can't really recommend one over the other.
Anyway, once converted, you can spawn the morphs as expected. To retain them for future use, you will have to "Save As... -> Support Asset -> Figure/Prop Assets..." to save the new figure in DAZ Studio native format. Any original poses and material settings will still work properly.
