How do I save an expression as a dial?
- Set the expression, and make sure that everything else is zeroed
- Right-click on the Parametrs pane and set it to Edit Mode (if it isn't)
- Right-click in the expressions group and select Add Property
- Enter name and label, adjust settings in the dialogue - at the very least you will probably want to set the minimum value to 0 instead fo -1
- Set the new property to 100%
- Right-click on the new property and select ERC Freeze.
- Check that the right things are listed under Sub-components, unchecck any that shouldn't be there, and click Accept
- Test your sldier - if it works you can use File>Save As>Support Assets>Morph Asset if you want it available on all instances of the figure, or just save a scene subset or character preset.
Thanks Richard, I will try that. I want to save it so I can use it on any character so I don’t want to save the face morph, just the expression. It’s on generic G8 and the one click setting looks good on all characters I tested.

My teeth too clean and bright
Zev0 was asked about a new dental product, more than a year ago now, and he said something to the effect there wwere already products out there by another vendor, the Easy Teeth series, (G3F, G3M, G8F, and later, G8M.) I'll see if I can dig up the post… (I was one of the ones asking, as I'd prefer Zev0's product.)
I don't much like the default shaders on teeth, myself. I've found applying the "plain soft wax" shader from the Subsurface Workshop - SSS Shaders for Iray is far more realistic, and I can add a touch of color to the Base Color to make them a bit off-white, more like real teeth. You could try adding stains via the Diffuse Overlay.
If you only need the occasional crooked tooth, you could try using dForms with Influence set to Weight Maps. Use the Geometry Editor to select one tooth at 100% weight, and you could then move it around; Paint the weights in one area, and it should work to change the shape.of the tooth. Certainly not as convenient as a product with dials, but no one else would have the same exact teeth! You could even save the resulting morphs as Morph Assets and have them available for all the figures of that base, (ie G8M.)
interesting that i already bought the G3M version ... I like the idea of dforms..i have never done that but it would be a good experience

Shape of Water Creature
Probably not this creature...but cooler looking.
https://www.daz3d.com/carnomoloch-character-and-outfit
The downside is it is a figure instead of a morph.
Only reason I haven't bought that yet is because it's a separate figure. It is pretty cool looking! Not the one I was thinking of, but still cool.

CryptoCreatures
Would also like to see a prop/morph pack for things like the DAZ Dog and Horse, things like horns, spikes, textures to allow verations.

Shape Rigger Plus(Commercial)
They don't really, not in a way that makes a difference. The problem with allignment in morphs is that in certain areas they changes pose accuracy when morph is dialled up, even if the bone rigging look better with allignment. Here is an example (See attachment) Grey is default Genesis 8 dialled up with heavy morph (correct pose) and Blue is heavy morph with allignment added. So you can see how allignment can change pose accuracy. If we enabled allignment with the script, peoples pose results on rigged shapes would be all over the place compared to default shape. For now we went with accuracy. We had a very long discussion around the issue. In the update we hope to add a feature to only add allignment to areas that need it without changing pose results. It was still being tested that is why it was not added at this stage. Personally, I have never used allignment in rigging and have not had any issues.

Shape Rigger Plus(Commercial)
You would dial in your custom morph in conjunction with Growing Up morphs and save as a preset. Basically all you are doing is rigging your morph, then dialing it up alongside Growing Up and saving as a character or shape preset. That is how it should be done. So all you do is rig your morph, if it needs rigging.
Thanks, I've picked this up along with GU for G8F ('bout time I moved forward).
Correct me, if I am not right.
Morph Rigger Plus is only for rigging morphs to the existing characters and remove duplicate IDs.
It will not help so much with creating a new characters.
There's an idea for a new product - something similar for JCMs; load in a correctional morph and generate the percentage applied based on current pose (I understand how insanely difficult and convoluted that could get - most JCMs* I've created are manual apply only in very specific circumstances).
Edit: *and technically not JCMs by their very nature...

ot: recommends for webhosts?
like Fishtales said 1.1 is good. Ive used them for years. But the last 5 years Ive been using Godaddy for domain and hosting . http://www.ivysdomain.com/ I get domain & unlimited storage & data with deluxe hosting package which includes FTP direct access, SQL and C# Server, SLL and site certificates, a windows or Linux control panel , a c-panal for uploading Mobil apps, my plan also comes with website stats and builtin google webmasters control panel & SEO tools as well. Godaddy is a little costly for $168 a year. But for what I get and the reliability for domain and deluxe hosting with unlimited storage and data transfer. I really could not find much better. you can get economy options for a lot less money a month at godaddy & they have page builders side bar if you don't know how to build sites by scratch with ftp like with Dreamweaver or inDesign which is what I use.. but the economy options have limits on storage and data transfers if you go lesser than deluxe hosting. . I use my site mostly so I can exchange huge , very large animation & media graphic data files with clients without lag or upload restrictions that cloud services gave me. plus if uo work with adult content its much easier having your own site because cloud services have become so presinikity to Adult 3d content . they don't know the difference between 3d and real I guess.. . I also have a gallery I am setting up in jqury that I can post my art on . I already have the animation gallery done. the best part of owning your own paid for pro site is that no one is going tell you what you can or can not post for art. :)

Bought on release day haven’t tried it out yet, but the duplicate ids feature definitely seems interesting, now to load my figures and try finding the source of the duplicate ID so I’ll know what morph to dial in :)

'exception on before draw' ??
Hello!
Just beginning with Hexagon mostly to import some props which does not import well in DAZ, to transfer them. One of my objects fails to be selected, and I get the error message 'exception on before draw'. What does that mean and can I fix it?

Shape Rigger Plus(Commercial)
It is used to rig new morphs, not existing ones. It is safe to assume that morphs already in the market place have been rigged. So it is helpful when creating new characters if you are using a morph that has not been rigged before. So from that perspective it will help.

[SOLVED] Struggling with the Fairytale Prince posable regions on G8M
I'm trying to pose the Fairytale Prince jacket but can't figure out why the posable regions shown in the promo images won't work...
I'm using it on a Gen 8 character, and I can't get the posable bits to work with either an autofit G3 jacket or the jacket that I ran through the G3 to G8 converter. (I didn't try the whole pose-then-transfer-rigging manual thing because the character is already posed.) I though it was gonna take a weird tool I'd never used, but I figured it out on a G3M with no problems...
So...how do I get it to work, or is it just broken forever because of the way G3 things fit on G8 characters?
Thanks for the help!!

CryptoCreaturesDarkseal made a chupacabra morph and texture for the old poser 8 dog... though it might not be exactly what youre looking for: https://www.daz3d.com/chupacabrap8dog
I saw that but it wasn't what I had in mind. Something more bipedal in nature. I'm surprised no one has made a mothman/mothwoman for any of the characters. (Antenna, wings and fur/hair around neck area) -

Elizabeth 2: A whole new free Poser figure.
her morphs don't work, need to be obj exported one by one from Poser and added using morph;loader and saved on a saved duf version
so is doable but a bit of work and I am not keen, still may some if I want to use them at a later date
expressions do as use bones
so yes with some work could be used in DS natively
